For 20 years the Flensted Family had a big double house with a shop of mobiles almost opposite the house where Hans Christian Andersen, once lived.
Andersen was both a highly imaginative creator of papercuts and a man fascinated by shadows, so in a sense Flensted Mobiles are carrying on the good work – with an added dimension. Here in the Flensted attic, Grethe – the cofounder with Christian – sits knitting while Andersen’s ballerinas come to life both in the air and on the wall.
Me and my shadow.
